Among the 11 articles that I wrote and published with CNET during my internship, my story covering life working on an organic farm as well as education regarding USDA organic practices was by far my favorite.

Is organic food worth the hype? 8 shocking truths about your fresh produce
Do organic fruits and vegetables really taste different? Here’s what I found.
This article was an addition to CNET's Made in America series during the summer of 2021.

Pulling from my own experience as a former farm-hand between summers at the University of South Carolina, the article opens with an early morning reminiscience of a typical day before the work began.

However, the recall repurposes quickly into application — the reader now knows that I know what I'm talking about first-hand. The article transitions into what the reader can learn from my experience without having to work a 13-hour shift in the July heat themselves.

"Organic" is a word thrown around a lot, but many people are partially or even completely unaware of what the USDA green sticker actually means. They often make purchase decisions wholly based off of its presence.

This article clears the fog surrounding organic produce, products, and what actually goes on at a USDA certified organic farm.

CNET opted to use photographs that I had captured and edited myself from over the years, making the story feel even more personal to both the audience and myself.
